Position Overview

Full-Time Engineering Project Manager position to manage high-profile government and private projects
in our West Jordan, UT, office. Opportunity with an established, market leading, employee-owned
company doing major innovative design projects for clients worldwide. Company technology
advancements are driving growth. Salary will depend on experience.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Perform project management for high profile design and design/build projects world-wide
  • Coordinate all aspects of the project with the client, including project status tracking, earned
    value management, schedule, cost tracking, invoicing, change orders, etc.
  • Assign and manage company resources to ensure that all project deliverables and deadlines are
    met
  • Coordinate project budgets, scheduling, and timely completion
  • Manage equipment fabrication, field installation, start-up operations and acceptance testing to
    assure high safety standards are met and demonstrate equipment meets project requirements
  • Manage in a collaborative arena working closely with various teams, colleagues, designers and
    drafters, etc.
  • Review, select, and direct subcontractors and applicable personnel
  • Travel, as needed, to perform onsite installation supervision, systemization, and commissioning
    tasks
  • Identify and manage technical, cost, and schedule risks
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost-effective manner

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of engineering project management experience managing engineering
    design and/or design/build projects
  • Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project or others)
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong mechanical/process design skills/background
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Ability to travel to support projects (~25%)
  • U.S. Citizen
  • B.S. in engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience
  • Experience managing equipment installation, systemization, and startup
  • Experience with thermal treatment and pollution control systems
  • Experience with robotics, material handling systems, automation
  • P.E. in engineering discipline
  • PMP certification
  • Experience in marketing/operations
